Welcome to Southeastern Scouting! This site is dedicated to analyzing and breaking down SEC football from a scouting perspective, from the recruits coming out of high school all the way to the prospects heading into the NFL Draft.

The site was founded by veteran scout Rick Stavig in early 2017. Rick played football at both Ole Miss and Shippensburg University. After graduation he spent six years working in Operations for the Washington Redskins. Rick spent one year as a National Recruiting Columnist for Rant Media as well as another 2 years as an NFL Draft Analyst. Rick has scouted and analyzed the SEC for longtime NFL scouts Dan Shonka at Ourlads NFL Scouting Services and Russ Lande at GM Jr. Scouting. His scouting reports have been featured in USA Today, Athlon Sports and the annual Ourlads NFL Draft guide.  In addition, Rick is also currently contributing to Saturday Down South.
